Affordable Medicare Supplement Insurance

As I was reading the newspaper the other day I came across to article about a starlet who had taken out a $1 million insurance policy on her body parts. That thought struck me as kind of comical, because here I am trying to keep my head above water worrying about finding affordable health insurance or even affordable car insurance and there are people out there insuring body parts. But I guess if that’s their livelihood that makes sense. It’s not any different than me seeking insurance for my feed store if that was the type of work I did. Another thought crossed my mind at the same time and that was with all of the different insurance companies that are out there and all of the different types of insurance policies available to us how do you know if you are really getting the best coverage for the best rate? How can you be sure that you are not being taken advantage of? These are valid concerns and ones that always goes through my mind when I’m making any kind of purchase.

INSURANCE AGENT ERROR AND OMISSION

Health insurance coverage seems to be a very big obstacle for me. I have to decide if I want the cheapest premium rate for the highest deductible or the highest premium rate for the cheapest deductible. Setting all that aside another type of insurance that I need to think about is a health savings account. This would be a good option if I am in perfect health because everything that I pay into the count would come back to me after 12 months of not using it. So there are some options that are available to me I just need to do the research to be sure which plan would work best for my situation.

I can’t imagine being in the position of a retired person and trying to make ends meet on a fixed income and having the added expense of health insurance costs that traditional Medicare will take care of. Looking at the Medicare information that has been sent to my parents there are several options available to them in the form of gap insurance, otherwise known as Medicare supplemental insurance. It’s very important for people to do a Medicare supplemental insurance comparison to be sure they’re getting the best rate for the plan that they have selected and by calling 1-800-MEDIGAP they will get answers to all of their Medigap questions.
